Background Information and Notes[]
- Forlini's was an Italian restaurant in Manhattan located on 93 Baxter Street, which served as an occasional filming location for SVU and various other shows.[1] It closed on April 1, 2022 after 79 years.[2] Barba and Benson mention the closing of the restaurant as they reunite in this episode.
- Episodes where Forlini's was used as a shooting location (according to scene cards) include this episode and the following: "Padre Sandunguero", "Know It All", and "In Loco Parentis".
- This is the final episode to air with Warren Leight as showrunner. Leight previously departed as showrunner after the conclusion of the seventeenth season before returning for the twenty-first season.
- Linda Emond returns after a long absence, her last appearance being in the sixteenth season.
- Jason Bowen returns after a long absence, his last appearance being in the eighteenth season.
- Velasco asks Carisi when he knew Rollins was "the one" and Carisi says it was watching her deal with the complications of giving birth to her first daughter, Jesse Rollins, which happened in the season 17 episode "Depravity Standard".
- Lindstrom mentions his first session with Benson which occurred at the end of the episode "Surrender Benson".
- Rollins mentions that Benson and Stabler worked on a case together recently which happened in the Law & Order: Organized Crime episode "Lost One".
- Goof: Bayard Ellis' name is spelled Baird in the captions of this episode.
- CTE is also a plot point in the episodes "Closet" and "Spiraling Down". Dr. Emily Sopher also appeared as a CTE expert in "Spiraling Down" in that episode as well.
