Law and Order

Adriana March is the mother of serial sexual assailant and spree killer Holden March. She defended her son most of all due to his diagnosis on the autism spectrum, in disbelief of his crimes and refusing psychiatric treatment that she believed wouldn't be sympathetic to his developmental state.

When Holden acclimated to three murders a high school hostage situation, Adriana pleaded for the police to get Holden out alive. The SVU was most intent of getting Holden to peacefully surrender, but the sniper in the crisis unit shot Holden dead as he was about to give himself up. Adriana was most devastated, first confused because of Benson's promise, then breaking down in grief in the arms of her husband. (SVU: "Holden's Manifesto")
