Aidan Connor is the son of Jason Connor and Debra Connor and the boyfriend and half-sibling of Shannon Coyle.
History[]
Aidan came across Shannon, the daughter of Susan Coyle and the older sister of Brian Coyle, at the same prep school, falling in love with her and starting a relationship. Little did he know Shannon was born from an affair between Jason and Shannon's mother, making the kid lovers half-siblings. Jason and Susan were horrified and forbade them both from dating and sex, but the two refused to obey and continued their relationship.
Shannon got pregnant and panicked, running into Jason and saying she wanted an abortion. Jason told her the truth about her heritage and begged Shannon to forgive him, but she pushed him away, falling back herself and dying from cracking her skull. Jason and Susan told each other and moved Shannon to an alley to hide the truth, hoping to leave together after splitting from Debra and Aidan.
Aidan was one of the students interviewed at the school about Shannon, but it wasn't until later detectives found out he was Shannon's boyfriend. When Shannon's baby was revealed a product of incest, Aidan wasn't suspected, until Jason was shot at dead, and his DNA matched the baby, revealing the affair and Aidan's and Shannon's family relations.
Aidan was told the story of his father's affair with Shannon's mother, being devastated by the truth before he vomited from the information that his girlfriend was his sister. This reaction caused the detectives to see that he couldn't have killed Shannon. Much later, he confesses to Jason's murder falsely in his mental breakdown. When Debra heard this, she admitted she killed Jason in a rage with his own gun after confronting him about the affair.
After both families' living parents were arrested, Aidan broke down and believed he had nobody left but Detective Stabler made him realize he had a brother to watch out for. Aidan realized Brian would understand, since his world was also turned upside down. With that, he and Brian were left to talk and go forward helping each other with whatever would happen next.
