Alice Simonelli is a repeat offender familiar with Abbie Carmichael.

History[]

Simonelli had a history of drug charges and even joined the Pagonos prison gang in the prisons she was sent to so she could survive. Carmichael always saw her as a pathological liar and a hopeless recidivist offender due to her past actions.

While in prison on her latest charge, Simonelli was being repeatedly raped by one of the guards, Charlie Tyner, and threatened with her sentence and livelihood, she was forced to not fight back or report the rapes. Intent on stopping Tyner, Simonelli called ex-con Luis Pacheco to kill Tyner in a hit. The plan worked, and Pacheco forced Tyner to kneel before he shot him dead.

Detectives went through Tyner's enemies from the men's prison he was at before, then realized that he was transferred to a women's prison. Pacheco and Simonelli were swiftly tracked and placed on trial. Carmichael was intent to prove Simonelli was lying and get the maximum sentence. But when Simonelli took the stand and emotionally recounted the rapes that she had suffered, Carmichael had a change of heart and requested a lenient reduction of her sentence.

Simonelli was convicted and received the minimum penalty of time to serve, with Carmichael revealing that she sympathized with her because she was raped in college while on a date, understanding Simonelli's plight as a victim of rape and misogyny. (L&O: "Punk")
