Alvin Gilbert was a fashion photographer and a serial rapist of girls who arrive as prospective modeling clients.

History[]

Alvin's brother Benno Gilbert worked as a fashion designer in business with Alvin, as well as an influential accomplice in preventing legal and other repercussions of Alvin's crimes. John Munch had a problem with Alvin since molesting and raping Maria Carla Channing starting when she was 18, once attempting suicide and the case ultimately being a failure. Maria started her own agency, but the business partly referred clients to Alvin with Maria turning a blind eye to keep her success.

Alvin raped 17-year-old Sally Landry during a photo shoot, with assistant Nora Wattan as an accomplice taking pictures of the rape. As if making a case in itself wasn't already difficult, as even the dozen women out of two dozen interviewed confirming sexual abuse refused to testify, Sally's abusive and greedy boyfriend and manager Matt Kroger worsened the procedure with threats against the Gilberts and even forcing a bribe from them at gunpoint.

Alvin was later found shot dead in an alley behind his studio. Combing through numerous suspects, it was later revealed Benno killed Alvin, finally finished with cleaning up after his crimes. (SVU: "Fashionable Crimes")
