Amanda Michael Plummer is an actress who guest-starred on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in the episode "Weak" as Miranda Cole, for which she won the 2005 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series.
She is the only child of Canadian actor Christopher Plummer (December 13, 1929 – February 5, 2021) and American actress Tammy Grimes (January 30, 1934 – October 30, 2016), her father Christopher Plummer said that he and Grimes named their daughter Amanda Michael after Amanda Coward, a character from the play Private Lives, and the actress Michael Learned, who appeared on SVU in the episode "Privilege" as Candace Lamerly.
She is known for her work on stage and for her roles in such films as Joe Versus the Volcano (1990), The Fisher King (1991), Pulp Fiction (1994), and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013). Plummer won a Tony Award in 1982 for her performance in Agnes of God. Plummer also had a recurring role in the third season of Star Trek: Picard (with Michelle Hurd, Jeri Ryan, and a recurring Brent Spiner and Todd Stashwick).
