Amy Gardner is the niece of serial rapist Edgar Noone.

History[]

The investigation restarted after going cold for years, then in competition with a copycat, Noone committed another rape. The DNA match was familial to Gardner, who had no other male relatives except for Noone.

Amy was visited by SVU detectives and told them of her uncle, who lives in the city. At first, she was in disbelief that Noone was a violent sexual predator, calling lawyer Roger Kressler to represent him. She also attended his trial, becoming suspicious when Noone spoke to A.D.A Peter Stone.

Much later, she called Det Dominick Carisi, Jr., telling him that she realized the accusation was not too far-fetched when her uncle didn't call after he was released. She helped the police by giving some of his background, leading to Noone giving a full confession when confronted about more than the rapes, but also the stalking of Stone's deceased father Ben, the first attorney on the case. (SVU: "Dear Ben")
