Amy Reynolds is a teenage girl who was raped by Moon Bay Crew gang member Patrick Scott, while the two other gang members, Carlton Campbell and Logan Rudman, pulled the strings of the entire rape by egging it on with chants of "go" over and over. Amy was lured to house party at the Campbell house, where she was plied with booze before she was raped. Carlton's father and the primary enabler of the gang, Gray Campbell, threatened to smear Amy if she told, paying her off with 5 grand and driving her to a bus stop to get her home.
When the Crew and Gray were all arrested and placed on trial, Amy was brought in to testify to the rape so as to prove in a preliminary hearing the gang legally was a gang. The judge approved of the statutes, leading to the Crew and Gray to all plead out, with Gray getting no jail time in exchange for the trio taking murder and manslaughter pleas resulting in state prison time.
