Anton Yelchin was a Russian-American actor. He portrayed Keith Tyler in the Law & Order: Criminal Intent episode "Tru Love".
Yelchin starred as Pavel Chekov in the 2009 film Star Trek and its sequels (all with Zoe Saldana and Beyond with Idris Elba and Shohreh Aghdashloo), as Kyle Reese (a character originally played by Michael Biehn in The Terminator) in Terminator Salvation (with Jane Alexander) and as Robert Garfield in the 2001 Stephen King movie Hearts In Atlantis (with Hope Davis). He also starred as Clumsy Smurf in The Smurfs film series (with Neil Patrick Harris), as Jacob Clarke in the 2002 Steven Spielberg science fiction mini-series Taken (with Emily Bergl, Elle Fanning, Joel Gretsch, Adam Kaufman, Desmond Harrington, Catherine Dent, Julie Benz, Tina Holmes, Ryan Hurst, and James McDaniel), and on the TV show Huff (with Paget Brewster).
He died after being fatally crushed by his SUV against his home's gate when the car rolled down the slope in front of his house.
