Audra Ann McDonald is an actress who played Audrey Jackson in the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit first season episodes "Contact" and "Slaves".
McDonald became a three-time Tony Award winner by the age of 28 for her performances in Carousel, Master Class, and Ragtime.
In 2001, she received an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or TV Movie for the HBO film Wit. She had starring roles on the TV shows Private Practice (with Kate Walsh, Paul Adelstein, Tim Daly, Taye Diggs, and KaDee Strickland) and The Good Fight (with Christine Baranski, John Larroquette, and Delroy Lindo).
McDonald also appeared as Teresa Giardello in the Homicide: Life on the Street episode "Forgive Us Our Trespasses".
She is married to actor Will Swenson, who guest-starred on SVU and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
