Austin Boyer is a public figure who was accused of rape by his fiancé, Kelsey Jones.

History[]

One night, when Austin was drunk, Austin became rough with Kelsey and started physically abusing her. The abuse was spotted by Rollins and Carisi which led for Kelsey to go to the Special Victims Unit the next day to file a complaint against Austin. Kelsey tells Benson and Rollins that she doesn't want Austin to go to jail but she just doesn't want him to do it again. Benson then met with Austin about the rape accusations where Austin lawyered up.

Later, Austin met with Benson where he told her that he is trying to get sober and is going to start seeking help. That night, Tutuola and Velasco got a call at Austin's home where he was arguing with Lilah, Kelsey's mother. Tutuola arrested Lilah and Velasco arrested Austin. While Kelsey was testifying against Austin, people started yelling at Kelsey and Rollins for the accusations against Austin, which caused Rollins to have a panic attack.

Austin then took the stand where Carisi tried to get him to confess to raping Kelsey. Austin then broke down and dramatically apologized to Kelsey for attacking her. Austin claimed that it was to prove his father wrong. Kelsey spoke with Benson and Rollins about Austin's apology on the stand, claiming that he sounds genuine. However, Austin was found guilty of third-degree assault. It was unknown whether Austin went to prison or if he was sentenced to do time on probation. (SVU: "Mirror Effect")
