Barbara Speight is a defense attorney typically handling defendants under arguments of persecution by police or reasonable doubt by suggesting other suspects.
History[]
Speight blackmailed Sameer Ahmed with reporting him for a robbery he was never identified for in the event his testimony got a group of defendants convicted on terrorism charges. The ploy failed and Sam still went ahead with his testimony, at the risk of deportation. (L&O: "Great Satan")
She then defended Joshua Felner for the murder of David Di Napoli, an accomplice in his asset stripping divorce scam. Speight painted David’s widow Marielle as the killer by provoking her on the stand, which resulted in Marielle trying to brain her with the presiding judge’s gavel. In the end, Joshua’s perjury got him convicted, as he gave himself away as knowing crucial details to the murder and tried to lie about the timeline. (L&O: "Love Eternal")
