Belinda Holt is a teenage girl manipulated into underage prostitution under the abusive, oppressive watch of John Victor Bodine, a pimp responsible for killing her friends, also teen prostitutes by Bodine's pimping.
Background[]
Holt ran away from her home in Toledo due to her mother's lethargy and sexual abuse from her drunkard stepfather. She fled to New York to start her own life, but her abuse and street life made her quick prey for pimp John Victor Bodine. She was tattooed with a pawprint on the small of her back as a brand for her prostitution, being flattered when she pleased Bodine and battered even over slights she did wrong. She got to know the other girls she'd be pimped out with, and they ended up as friends who cared about each other. When they were never seen again, Bodine told her they were "adopted" by clients. In truth, Bodine would lie about certain girls to hide the fact he killed them by beating them to death.
Underbelly[]
When Chantel Vanner was murdered and she was tied to Sandra Garner and Monique, Bodine's ring was tracked and Holt was eventually found on one of the streets she frequented. She was taken back and denied the prostitution she went through, saying Bodine "loves" her and she "wanted" the sexual exploitation she was leased out for. Citing her abuse, she says Bodine's the only person who's ever taken care of her and she couldn't love another man. When Bodine's arrested, Sister Peg offers Holt to stay with her for safety until she can testify against Bodine and be placed in a better living situation. But Bodine switches identities with another inmate to bail out, knocks out Sister Peg, and kidnaps Holt.
Detectives Stabler and Beck track the two of them to Bodine's apartment, where he's counting his cash and beating Holt again. When she walks out and screams, alerting Bodine, he holds her at gunpoint and runs off with her. Continuing to pull her along even after she trips, he throws her over a ledge and leaves her to cling to the edge to stall for time, but Stabler pulls her back up and rescues her. Beck kills Bodine by shooting him when he tries to run her over, with Holt left lamenting in her shock over Bodine's death.
