Elizabeth Folan Gilpin (born July 21, 1986 in New York City, New York) is an actress who played four different characters on all three primary shows of the Law & Order franchise.
She has had starring roles on the shows Nurse Jackie (with Edie Falco, Peter Facinelli, Merritt Wever, Dominic Fumusa, Paul Schulze, and Stephen Wallem) and GLOW (with Gayle Rankin).
In 2020, Gilpin starred in the horror film The Grudge, the satirical action thriller The Hunt (with Amy Madigan), and the action comedy Coffee & Kareem. For The Hunt, she won a Critics' Choice Super Award for Best Actress in an Action Movie.
Between 2019 and 2020, Gilpin appeared in the fantasy romantic comedy film Isn't It Romantic, the comedy-drama film A Dog's Journey, the action comedy film Stuber, and the action horror film The Hunt. In 2021, she appeared in the science fiction action movie, The Tomorrow War (with J.K. Simmons). In same year, Gilpin is set to star in the upcoming HBO series Blood Sugar.
She is the daughter of actor Jack Gilpin and actress Ann McDonough, both of whom have appeared in the Law & Order franchise as well. She also have two siblings.
Gilpin has been married to actor Cosmo Pfeil since 2016.
Gilpin is a 2004 graduate of The Loomis Chaffee School, and a 2008 graduate of Fordham University. During her time at Fordham, she studied under Dianne Wiest, who played Interim District Attorney Nora Lewin on Law & Order.
