Blair Carlson was the mistress of Peter Gardner, which left her paid handsomely with a penthouse and numerous nice things to her delight. She was kidnapped for ransom by Ronny Aldridge, a troubled youth foundation leader who didn't receive a donation from Gardner, Aldridge being assisted by one of the youths, Carlos. Gardner half-heartedly agreed to the 200 grand ransom, but that it would take a day.
Even though Aldridge and Carlos agreed, Blair didn't comply and tried to escape the abandoned building she was locked in. Carlos, watching over her locked room with food and water, tried to pull her back inside, but she fought and ran into a road, where she was hit by Silvio Mangiafico while he was driving his truck. Carlos briefly diverted suspicion from himself while leading to Silvio, but he and Aldridge were found out and taken to trial. Carlos was released and his charges dropped when he testified against Aldridge, but Aldridge was acquitted. (L&O: "Bailout")
