Officer Bone Tarkman is an undercover cop and a foster child of Chesley Watkins.
History[]
Tarkman was the only friend of his fellow foster brother Antonio Mattini and stood up for him often against the other boys, especially when they brutalized and raped him. Mattini would always be in close contact with Tarkman if he was ever in any danger.
When Mattini and the other foster boys were recruited in a series of family massacres and robberies at Watkins' behest, the other three killers, Floyd Bolton, James Duncan, and Carlos Espilla, were sent to kill Mattini since he was less brutal and focused on the tasks, thus more of a liability. Tarkman was arranged to be killed too when Watkins called him and said Mattini was in danger at his job at he restaurant he worked at.
It only partly worked, as Logan rushed to the scene when the three assailants ran off and left Mattini and Tarkman, and when Tarkman pulled his gun while beaten blind, Logan panicked and shot him, realizing too late he's a cop.
Watkins played it off as the police targeting her home and feigned grief for Tarkman, but she made Mattini surrender himself only to have an inmate stab him in his cell. When Bolton committed suicide and all witnesses against her were dead, she filed for a motion of dismissal that was left with an indeterminate result. (CI: "To the Bone")
