Assistant U.S. Attorney Bree Price is the superior of E.A.D.A. David Haden. She assigned him to the case of the kidnapping and rape of private armed forces contractor William Rand, as Rand was both an elite figure and the CEO of the world's most dangerous private mercenary company.
She hoped the case would be handled with discretion over embarrassment, objecting to Haden and SVU asking about the buried gang-rape of former employee Cori Green, the kidnapping and rape of Rand being out of revenge. Price insisted investigators saw the case as unsubstantial, irrelevant, and already settled in its final reports. She mentioned the federal government saw broader responsibilities as priority, and military contractors couldn't be prosecuted by American law. They were capable enough to prosecute locally regarding the cover-up, and federally they could take measures regarding the gang-rape, but Price warned Haden as a trusted colleague and acquaintance to not get himself in the line of fire of strong forces.
