Brenda Lee Strong (born March 25, 1960, Portland, OR) is an actress who guest starred as Kathy Jarrow on the episode "Betrayed" on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. She played Mary Alice Young in the drama-comedy Desperate Housewives (with Marcia Cross, Dana Delany, Andrea Bowen, Cody Kasch, Richard Burgi, and Felicity Huffman).
She had guest-starred as Sue Ellen Mischke in a few episodes of Seinfeld. Strong later starred as Ann Ewing, the third wife of Bobby Ewing, the mother on Emma Brown Ryland (Emma Bell), the ex-wife of Harris Ryland (Mitch Pileggi) and the former daughter-in-law of Judith Ryland (Judith Light) in the TNT prime time soap opera Dallas (2012–14).
In 2016, she undertook a recurring role as Lillian Luthor on Supergirl (with Melissa Benoist, Mehcad Brooks and Jeremy Jordan). Strong appeared as a recurring character Nora Walker in the second season of the Netflix Original 13 Reasons Why (with Dylan Minnette, Christian Navarro, Josh Hamilton, Amy Hargreaves, Jake Weber, Steven Weber, Brian d'Arcy James, and Kate Walsh). In September 2018, Strong was promoted to series regular for its third season. She directed two episodes in season four.
