Brian Sprague is the violently abusive boyfriend of foster mother Beatrice Hines, the guardian of 10-year-old Wendy Sylvester. When Sprague was revealed to have beaten Wendy, he was arrested and removed, being warned by police they’d come after him again if he got near Wendy.
When Wendy went missing, Sprague was a suspect in her murder, but he was cleared once she was revealed to have been kidnapped by her teacher, Arnette Fenady, for her own safety. (L&O: “Nurture”)
