Britney Katherine Moore is a teenage girl who murdered her father Douglas after she believed that he molested her sister Laura. This was, however, a lie conspired by her neighbor Greg Callahan, who was in an sexual relationship with Laura.
History[]
Her mother died sometime ago, causing Britney and her sister to be raised by their widowed father Douglas who they were very close to.
A story of more woe[]
Britney was brought in and revealed she had to murder her father, due to her sister revealing it was him who sexually abused her. However, SVU investigated her claims and after questioning Laura did they learn that Greg was the culprit. They inform Britney who was horrified by the news that Greg manipulated and guilty to realize her father was actually innocent. She agreed to work with the detectives in catching Greg.
Britney met with Greg in a diner, as he assures her that he will regain custody of her and Laura. Britney tells him that her sister hasn't been the same and Greg assures her that things will be fine. Deciding to get him to implicate himself, Britney revealed her sister might be pregnant. Witnessing this, Benson and Fin notes Britney went off-script, but Benson allows this to test if Greg will slip up.
Indeed, her strategy unnerves Greg especially when he refused her request to get a DNA test to ensure the baby wasn't for her father. Britney then questions if the child is his, as the latter is unable to answer. Greg soon states they'll find a solution, as Britney starts to question him on why he slept with her sister, as he states she is very mature. She gradually grows angry and stabs him in the cheek for making her sister lie on their father and making her kill him. The Detectives bust in, with Fin taking the bleeding Greg away and Benson comforting Britney.
A.D.A Peter Stone reveals that Britney was not charged for the crime, but put on probation with her and her sister being put in foster care but go to counseling but Benson believes that all the help in the world will not do any good after their experience. (SVU: "A Story of More Woe")
