Law and Order

Brutus Walker is a drug dealer and a murderer cleared of suspicion of the murder of dirty cop Pete Rennick.

History[]

Brutus was caught by Officer Rennick, having been blackmailed to be called in for a favor later in exchange for no drug charges, while also stealing Brutus' spoils. Rennick would regularly heist money and drugs from other dealers in his job, reselling the drugs and taking all the cash for him and his family. Rennick killed Ricky Powers, a young dealer, over a fallen-out agreement, then made Brutus call 911 to have Rennick on the scene with his partner, Officer Nicki Sandoval.

Brutus eventually got arrested, then escaped from Rikers Island and returned to the South Bronx. Brutus saw his girlfriend Cassie with a man named Ramos, Brutus getting furious and shoving Ramos out the building to his death. The cops had just arrived, and Rennick and Sandoval responded as back up to chase Brutus up the roof. He escaped and hid with his sister by the time Rennick was shot dead, but this left him the prime suspect and a manhunt ensued. While on the run, Brutus' defense attorney, Simpson, was called by Brutus and told if he got immunity, he'd give information on Rennick's murder.

The police refused and arrested him once his sister's car was found, Brutus taunting with believing they wanted him dead. He offered his deal again, this time to give up Rennick killing Ricky. The police found out the murder, and pretending he was negotiating, Stone confronted Brutus with the evidence of Ricky's murder and the tape of his 911 call. The real killer was Sandoval, who shot Rennick in self-defense with a heisted gun he gave her because she was ready to sell him out with tape recordings of their talks, including when Sandoval protected herself from Rennick.

Brutus was found guilty of murder and evading justice and was imprisoned. (L&O: "A Death in the Family")
