Byron Holmes is a high school security guard and a witness to the attempted rape of Tiffany Jackson by her future husband, pro basketball star Ken Jackson. Holmes was called to testify in Jackson’s trial for the rape and murder of Lauren Ford to introduce the report as a pattern of conduct.

Holmes testified Tiffany came to him in tears and with messy hair to report Jackson trying to rape her at gunpoint in their 12th grade year, but she withdrew the report once Jackson proposed to her. Although his accounts of hearsay he picked up from other crimes had to be stricken from the record, he successfully challenged the argument by the defense that her report was a mere fluke without merit because it wasn’t followed through with.
