Byron Marks is a serial rapist who assaulted several women and was sent to prison presumably in 2011, before escaping in 2017.

History[]

He was first arrested when Amanda Rollins joined SVU, which is presumably 2011. He escapes prison in 2017, fleeing to Cuba. While there, he appeared to have stopped raping and settled down with a wife who gave birth to a daughter.

Gone Fishin'[]

Byron was first seen with his wife and daughter in Cuba and going about his day before being arrested by Cuban police officers and extradited illegally by SVU Sergeant Odafin Tutuola and taken back to New York for sentencing. However, his victims are too terrified to testify against him. Eventually, one victim, Karla Wyatt, agrees to testify.

However, when Byron is presumed to be set free, he goes to Karla's house to persuade her into not testifying. He told her that he's changed and talked about his new daughter as proof of his supposed redemption. Instead, Karla puts him through the same torture he put her through and attempts to shoot him before being stopped by Olivia Benson. Elana also turned on him after Karla revealed the details of her torture and she allowed SVU to prosecute him.

Eventually, thanks to Karla's help, Byron is imprisoned. (SVU: "Gone Fishin'")
