Carl Weathers was an American actor, director and football linebacker, who portrayed State's Attorney Mark Jefferies on Chicago Justice. He guest-starred on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in the same role on the episode "Zero Tolerance". He also directed the Law & Order episode "Benefit Of The Doubt".

He was also known for his portrayals of Apollo Creed in the Rocky film franchise (with Burt Young) and Al Dillon in the sci-fi action horror film Predator (with Bill Duke and Elpidia Carrillo). He also starred on the TV show Street Justice (with Marcus Chong) and as Chubbs Peterson in the films Happy Gilmore (with Julie Bowen and Christopher McDonald) and Little Nicky. He portrayed a fictionalized version of himself in the comedy series Arrested Development (with Tony Hale, Will Arnett, David Cross, Jeffrey Tambor, and Jessica Walter), and voiced Omnitraxus Prime in Star vs. the Forces of Evil (with Rider Strong and Nia Vardalos). Most recently, he appeared as Greef Karga on the Star Wars series The Mandalorian, working with Pedro Pascal, Katee Sackhoff, Ming-Na Wen, and Giancarlo Esposito.

Weathers died at his home in Los Angeles on February 1, 2024, at the age of 76. His family issued a statement saying he died "peacefully in his sleep". He was survived by his two sons by his first wife, Mary Ann Castle.
