Carmelo Anthony (born on May 29, 1984 in Brooklyn, New York) is a professional basketball player who has guest-starred on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Anthony appeared as himself, honoring Ray Masters and later supporting Prince Miller in this press conference against Masters, in the season 13 episode "Personal Fouls". Another NBA star, Chris Bosh, also appeared as himself.
Anthony led Syracuse University to the 2003 NCAA Division I men's basketball championship as a freshman. Following the championship game victory over the University of Kansas, Anthony declared for the NBA Draft, where he was selected third overall by the Denver Nuggets (his co-star Bosh was picked right after him in that draft). Anthony has also played for the New York Knicks (who he played for at the time the episode aired), Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Portland Trailblazers, and Los Angeles Lakers.
He was married from 2010 to 2021 to actress and TV personality La La Anthony, who guest-starred on the SVU episode "Poisoned Motive".
