Carrie Conlon is the widower of sports physician Dr. Ryan Conlon, who was killed in a robbery and home invasion by an intruder in a ski mask and on a motorcycle. Carrie was surprised first by being knocked out, tied up, and gagged with duct tape. When she woke up unable to move and seeing her husband dead on the floor, she tried to get to the phone but struggled. The police and paramedics still arrived regardless.

Carrie was briefly suspected when it was revealed she was having an affair with the reverend at the church the Conlons went to, Dan Wyler, as well as when detectives found messages revealing the affair and implying further escalation of tensions that were seemingly in Carrie's voice. But when Carrie was recorded reciting the message herself, it was proven she didn't make the calls because her breathing patterns in her speech were different.

The knowledge of a disguised voice came from the real mastermind, Alison Wyler, Dan's wife. Alison hired her own lover, underage congregate, adapted child, and recovering drug addict Kevin Paxton, to attack the Conlons and frame Carrie to get revenge on Dan despite her own hypocrisy in her own fidelity. When Alison was confronted by Dan, she was arrested and Dan's church dissolved, but this still secured Carrie's exoneration. (CI: "Faithfully")
