Quotes[]
- Rollins: Look, thank you so much for meeting me for lunch. I have been going stir crazy on maternity leave.
- Carisi: How's being a mom?
- Rollins: You were right. It's... it's the greatest thing ever.
- Tutuola: Hot for teacher. Happens everywhere.
- Benson: Right, but when the teacher follows through...
- Kenneth O'Dwyer: That is rape.
- Tutuola: That kid's in love. You can't trust someone like that.
- Dodds: All these boys... who the hell are they? What happened to them?
- Carisi: We'll worry about that later. Right now, we need to find Zach.
- Finn: Liv. You know how it goes. When a boy goes through something like this, he never tells anyone.
- Benson: Don't underestimate him. Fin knows more than anybody.
Background information and notes[]
- The story takes place the week before Christmas, but the color of the leaves on the trees shows that it was filmed a couple of months beforehand.
- When Dodds and Carisi knock on the principal's door, they see a sex worker, Melora, who says she "knows you guys". They had encountered her before in the episode "Maternal Instincts".
- Phoebe Burnap's attorney asks what charges she is being held on. ADA O'Dwyer replies that she is currently being charged with two counts of rape in the third degree, but that they may also be adding charges of rape in the second degree, kidnapping in the second degree and "sexual assault".
However sexual assault is not a criminal charge, it is simply a term to describe any type of sexually motivated crime, there is no actual criminal charge for sexual assault. Though the actual crime most commonly mistakenly referred to as sexual assault is sexual abuse (either in the third, second or fist degree). Aggravated sexual abuse is also sometimes mistakenly referred to as "aggravated sexual assault". - Benson tells a 15 year old if he withholds information he could be "an accessory to statutory rape". This is legally impossible as the law cannot be used to punish someone who is in the category of persons the law is designed to protect.
- Kelli Barrett has made two appearances on SVU: 12.15 - Flight as Dahlia Jessup 17.10 - Catfishing Teacher as Pheobe Burnap Coincidentally in both episodes she plays someone involved in a statutory relationship with someone named Jordan. First as the victim then as the perpetrator.
