Cecilia Knowles is the sister of missing woman Julia Gorman, whose murder she blamed on Ken Taylor, Julia's boyfriend. To get him framed, she lied he stalked and harassed her, hired prostitutes to obtain his semen, and staged her own attack with the sample, cords, a condom, and Ken's type of painkillers, which put Cecilia in a coma from an allergic reaction.
It almost worked, as Ken took a plea when the evidence stacked against him. When he was cleared of that conviction, which was overturned, he was tried for Julia's murder when she was found dead on his old family farm. The case turned into both the prosecution and defense prejudicing the jury, and the prosecution's outburst resulted in an immediate mistrial.
Cecilia herself is implied to have killed Julia, as Julia's hairs were found in Cecilia's car, which turned up in Ohio. Cecilia remains hospitalized and will be questioned if and when she regains consciousness. (L&O: "Patsy")
