Central Park is a large public, urban park in the borough of Manhattan, New York City. The park is used throughout the Law & Order franchise as a dumping ground for dead bodies.

- While jogging near Reservoir, Jane Stephens was attacked and later raped by Mark Dietrich. During the investigation into the death of Laura Dietrich, ADA Ron Carver, and Detectives Goren and Eames visited the crime scene of Stephens in order to get a confession from Dietrich. (CI: "Monster")
- During the investigation of several hidden toilet camera's, the Detectives stumbled upon a video on which Shane Madden was being molested by Meredith Rice. Then Detective Olivia Benson tried to find the precise location on a map from Central Park. (SVU: "Head")
- During an immigration reform rally in the park, Colombian-born accountant Maria Soriano was accidentally shot dead by Auxiliary Officer Rodchenko. (L&O: "Illegal")
- A young woman is running through Central Park looking for help. She is taken to Bellevue Hospital Center and interviewed by SVU about her possible identity. (SVU: "Complicated")
- Lourdes Vega holds her rapist Miguel Lopez, and later Officer Eddie Montero and Lieutenant Olivia Benson, hostage at a terrace apartment nearby the park. (SVU: "Remember Me")
- Kyle Morrison, the COO of the bio tech company Hythena, is found dead in Central Park. (L&O: "Impossible Dream")
- Aretha Green, a young girl who went missing on September 10, 2001, was found in the Harlem Meer after 11 years. (SVU: "Tangled Strands of Justice")

- The Law & Order episode "Kiss the Girls and Make Them Die", and the Law & Order: Criminal Intent episode "Monster" were both based on murderer Robert Chambers, who dumped the body of Jennifer Levin in Central Park.
