Charles S. Dutton (born January 30, 1951 in Baltimore, Maryland) is an American actor who played Reverend Davidson in Law & Order: LA in the episode "Carthay Circle".

Dutton is best known for his portrayal of tightwad garbage collector Charles "Roc" Emerson on the FOX sitcom Roc (with Rocky Carroll). He won an NAACP Image Award in 1994 for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. In addition, Dutton won three Primetime Emmys in his career: two for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series (1997, 2002) and one for Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries, Movie, or Special (2000).

Dutton also has an extensive film career with appearances in Alien 3, Menace II Society, Surviving the Game (featuring Ice-T and Gary Busey), A Time to Kill, A Low Down Dirty Shame, and Get on the Bus.
