Chinua Iwobi is a taxi and limo driver who was suspected of buying a girl named Delilah off of a sex trafficker named "Uncle Luke".
History[]
In 2008, Chinua illegally immigrated to America, became a car mechanic and got married (possibly before his immigration), having a family soon after. When Chinua was doing his job, he was approached by a man who asked him to drive his "daughter" to the hospital and he quickly agreed. However, the man ended up dumping her on the street instead and forced Chinua to drive away. Chinua would not call the police about the incident out of fear of being discovered as an illegal immigrant and deported back to his home country.
However, when Chinua's car is discovered to have been involved in an incident revolving around a young girl named Delilah being sexually assaulted and dumped out of the car Chinua is confronted by Detectives Rollins and Tutuola about the incident. Chinua tells the detectives about the incident revolving around the man and the daughter. The detectives realize that the reason why Chinua didn't report the incident was because he fears that he will be deported, the detectives tell Chinua that illegal immigration isn't their thing, to which Chinua tells them that he has had this fear after he was robbed at gunpoint of $600 last week. After sympathizing, Tutuola gives him his card and tells him to call him if that happens again. Seeing they are on his side, Chinua then gives the description of the man to the detectives: a white man with gray hair in his 40's and the address he picked the man up from.
With this information, the detectives were able to track the man down. When the man, Vince is interrogated the detectives threaten him with prosecution and how they have a witness, that witness being Chinua. (SVU: "Zero Tolerance")
