Cooper had missed her ride with a rideshare service and was picked up by Patel instead. Patel proceeded to rape her, then he dropped her off, leaving Cooper traumatized. Cooper initially accused her appointed rideshare driver, but when it was confirmed that he didn't pick her up, the investigation continued.
