Christina Maroun is the deceased sister of A.D.A. Samantha Maroun.
Background[]
Christina was raped and murdered in 2013, allegedly by Carter Mills, in Georgia. However, no charges were filed against him, which traumatized Samantha. Samantha used her career to get justice for as many victims as possible in honor of her sister.
On L&O[]
The memory of Christina's rape and murder has influenced Samantha's decision-making in the prosecution of a woman accused of murdering her rapist (L&O: "The Right Thing"), as well as that of a drug addict who claimed to have killed an ex-con in self-defense. (L&O: "Second Chance")
In 2025, Mills was arrested for the rape and murder of another woman. Samantha became overly involved in the case, dedicated to getting justice for her sister and to imprison Mills once and for all. However, Mills was acquitted, which devastated and enraged Samantha. That night, Mills was murdered, and suspicion fell on Samantha. Price went to visit Samantha at her apartment and asked her if she had murdered Mills. Samantha shut the door on his face without saying anything, implying that Samantha had indeed murdered Mills. (L&O: "Look the Other Way")
