Christine Chang is a sex trafficker and embezzler.
History[]
Christine and her husband Arthur were wealthy people who founded several charities. However, the two were secretly sex traffickers. The Special Victims Unit arrested them for their crimes while Christine was doing a speech about immigrant rights. Christine denied all of the accusations held against her until ADA Carisi mentioned that her travel agent was running forensic accountants through money she embezzled.
Christine was taken to trial, but a federal prosecutor took jurisdiction of the case away from the SVU, resulting in Christine being transferred into federal custody. Vanessa Hadid later revealed to Carisi that Christine had cut a deal in which she wouldn't serve time in prison. (SVU: "Counselor, It's Chinatown")
