Christopher Baylor is a cab driver, disbarred lawyer, and the boyfriend and accomplice of Amy Newhouse, who he beat as part of a scam against her boss, David Alcott.

History[]

Chris lost his license for practicing law after he suborned perjury, so he turned to cab driving for income. After Chris met Amy, a secretary in David’s law firm, the two concocted a get-rich-quick scheme with David as the victim. When they conceived a child, Amy lied the baby was David’s to blackmail him for money, but he wouldn’t budge. Amy arranged Chris to beat her in an alley to abort her child, which worked all too well when the assault left her infertile along with suffering a miscarriage.

Amy and Chris prepared a $10 million misdemeanor civil suitable placing the blame on David for detectives. The con unraveled when Amy and Chris’ relationship and backgrounds were discovered, and the couple were tried in court for attempted murder. When the prosecution realized, the charges could apply to Amy’s crudely aborted fetus, they instructed the jury to evaluate accordingly. The jury convicted the couple on the grounds accordingly.

Chris was found guilty of attempted murder and imprisoned. (L&O: "Misconception")
