Williams presides over the case of Russian mobster Sergei Pearlman, ready to take him to trial while previous associate Gregory Rossovitch and his son Nikolai are in protective custody under Witness Protection. When Nikolai starts serial rapes of women associated with the mob out of revenge, Stabler and Benson regularly impede on their operations, leading to several witnesses and suspects being moved and hidden away. She eventually concedes to provide a DNA sample to prove Nikolai is the rapist. Not wanting to jeopardize the arrest of Pearlman, agents bring Nikolai to meet Gregory at their hideout, only for Gregory and the marshal at the house to have been found shot dead by Pearlman. The agents on site arrest and interrogate the two detectives, who put them on suspicion of murder. But after arresting and interrogation Nikolai, it's revealed he told Pearlman the hideout's location in exchange for paying off his gambling debts, not knowing Pearlman would execute his father. it's enough to clear Stabler's and Benson's names and for them to personally arrest Pearlman. But one of the mercenaries opens fire at the site of Nikolai's transfer, killing and injuring several people, including Nikolai, while also getting shot dead. Williams laments Pearlman will be released without bias and she doesn't know what's next to have on him. Stabler offers whatever assistance he can provide, and all she does is solemnly smile back. Elliot visits US Attorney's Office and Williams reveals that a murdered victim in his case was an informant bringing down pedophiles. Much later, it is discovered that a sex trafficking ring has been formed. Williams aided detectives Stabler and Bishop in getting information from a member Ron Crowley on the whereabouts of Mia Van Wagner. She also revealed that needed a SVU Detective to bring down the ring and Stabler was chosen with his passport having been made. Stabler is sent on a trip to Prague for Stabler to assist the Czech authorities. Once Stabler returns to New York, Williams reveals to him and Bishop of the successful arrest rate the FBI and other law-enforcement have gotten from the discovery of an ongoing pedophile ring. She also invited Stabler so that he could see the ring being brought down personally. (SVU: "Pandora")
