Connie Parish is the overbearing mother of Martin Parish.

At a therapy session, Martin complains that Connie doesn't give him any space. However, Connie defends herself and claims that all she does is take care of him. After Martin rapes a woman named Mona Stewart, Martin tells Connie that he needs her help because he hurt someone. After Martin's questioning, Connie shows up and refuses to let them speak with him without a lawyer present. After the cops come to arrest Martin, Benson and the team barge in on Martin cuddling up with Connie in bed. Martin then ends up getting arrested for rape. At the courthouse, Benson sees Connie pacing around and approaches her. Connie tells Benson that she feels like a helpless mother and that she is going to protect her son just like what Benson did to Noah in the gang case. Connie then tells Benson that she is trying to protect her career by going over Martin. After Mona dies from an overdose, Benson and the task force refuse to believe that her death was a suicide.
After finding out that Martin has scarring on his lungs, Martin reveals that he got cocaine from his mother's guy on Friday. Carisi becomes unsure that Connie was trying to poison her son. Muncy and Churlish then find Connie's cocaine and an industrial abrasive in the freezer. Muncy then makes a call to Carisi to get a warrant for Connie's arrest. Connie then ends up getting arrested and claims that she is horrified. Benson accuses Connie of poisoning Martin so that he could never leave her. After Carisi manages to find Martin's father, Peter claims that Connie tried to poison him the same way and claims that he cheated on her so she molested Martin and then she started poisoning him so he left. Connie then shows up and accuses Peter of stealing Martin from him. Connie then gets upset when Martin defends Peter. At the precinct, Connie says Benson turned Martin against her but Benson told Connie that she crippled her son and criticized her parenting skills. In the end, Connie took a plea and was imprisoned.
