Curtis Johansen is the illegitimate husband of Denise Cormier and a con victim of both her and her real husband, Edward Crandall. Crandall and Cormier embezzled from Johansen and Crandall's illegitimate wife, Jessica Blaine, then staged Cormier's "rape" and tried to kill Blaine and make it look like a "rape" to only strength the allure upon each spouse. Johansen's semen was planted at both scenes, but the report and attack each happened when he had an alibi.
After Danny Ryan was exonerated as a suspect, the couple was found out. Blaine was in disbelief, but Johansen was appalled and ready to assist Special Victims. But each of the con artists told their "spouses" and their testimony was presumably void. But it was revealed the spousal privilege was what's void since Cormier and Crandall married in Mexico. Blaine and Johansen testified and got the cons imprisoned. (SVU: "Greed")
