Dana Kelley is the mother of pedophile teenager Eric Byers.
History[]
When Benson told Dana that Eric was a pedophile and that the Special Victims Unit believed that Eric had been touching her stepson Cory, Dana was shocked and refused to believe Eric to be capable of that, saying that Eric was acting out because his father abandoned him. However, when Cory told the detectives that Eric had molested him, Dana became distraught and wanted nothing to do with Eric. Her husband Sean, who had a strong hatred for pedophiles insulted Dana and accused her of abusing Eric which was why he was the way he was, which infuriated Dana.
As time went on, Dana and Sean's relationship got more intense. One night, Eric rang Dana asking for help but Dana told him she was done helping him, however she agreed to drop off a few things to Eric at an abandoned warehouse where he was staying. Benson and Tutuola followed Dana to the warehouse, where Dana found Eric's body, which gave her a nervous breakdown. She cradled her son's dead body begging for him to wake up until the detectives separate her from him.
Afterwards, Dana told Benson about what Eric had requested before tearfully saying she loved him but she was glad he was dead. It is unknown what happened to her afterwards. (SVU: "Confession")
