Danny Miller is a gangster and serial killer, as well as the operations director for a dog fighting conspiracy. Ralph Carson and Bill Reade are his muscle men, Dr. Paul Garrett patched up and euthanized the dogs who were tortured and fixed for fights, and Miller’s lawyer Sherri Quinn and her husband Roger, Miller’s accountant, cooked the books and ran his communications from prison.
A pit bull named King got loose, killing schoolteacher and coach Sandy Meekin and her Jack Russell while they were jogging. Following the trail of the ring’s players led to Miller, and as he wouldn’t cooperate, the detectives found the Quinns for themselves. As they were in possession of King last, they were imprisoned for manslaughter, while King was euthanized.
Miller was likely placed in solitary confinement as penalty for his crimes. (L&O: “Who Let the Dogs Out?”)
