Daphne Rubin-Vega is a Panamanian actress, singer-song-writer, and dancer, most notable for her stage musical and TV credits. Rubin-Vega was a member of the original Broadway cast of the musical Rent (with Anthony Rapp, Jesse L. Martin, Wilson Jermaine Heredia, and Taye Diggs) and starred in the film adaptation of In the Heights (with Anthony Ramos and Olga Merediz).
She portrayed Carmen Mendoza in the Law & Order: Criminal Intent episode "Senseless".
