David Carter is the suicidal son of Ann and Bill Carter. He was briefly suspected in the shootings of married divorce lawyers Lizzy and Fred Bellamy when Karen Johnson, the teenage daughter of a family his parents knew, testified he found the Johnson family gun and voiced how he wanted to use it in himself.
David was cleared of suspicion when it was revealed Karen ordered the murders and diverted suspicion to David to make him a patsy. (L&O: "Chattel")
