David Morris is the father of Wyatt Morris, who was kidnapped by Lewis Hodda.
History[]
David and his wife Laurie were divorced and did not get along, which upset Wyatt. When David went to pick up Wyatt to take him to a baseball game, Laurie yelled at him for being late, which David dismissed. While walking down the street, David told Wyatt that his mother seemed grouchy. Wyatt asked David when he was coming home, which saddened David. He then took Wyatt to the subway station to take the train to the baseball game. Hodda distracted David then kidnapped Wyatt by dragging him onto a train which then departed. David panicked and tried banging on the train doors while it departed. He then pressed an alarm button and ran up to the streets, dialing 911. The Special Victims Unit arrived and questioned David, who was in a frantic state.
David and Laurie worked with the Special Victims Unit by giving them any bit of information that helped. In the darkest hour of the investigation, Benson and Amaro told David and Laurie that they were both going through a lot and that they needed each other's support. David and Laurie reconciled and hugged each other, both crying and worried for Wyatt. Eventually, Wyatt was found at an abandoned warehouse and David and Laurie went to the warehouse to meet Wyatt and the police. Benson handed Wyatt to David and Laurie, who happily hugged Wyatt before walking away with him, relieved. (SVU: "Manhattan Vigil")
