David Zayas is an actor who played eight different characters in all three primary shows of the Law & Order franchise.
He starred on the Showtime TV show Dexter (with Julie Benz, Desmond Harrington, C.S. Lee, Lauren Vélez, and Geoff Pierson) as Sergeant Angel Batista (a younger version of the character is played by James Martinez in the prequel show Dexter: Original Sin). He later reprises his role as Angel Batista in the Showtime limited series Dexter: New Blood (with Clancy Brown). He also starred as General Garza in the film The Expendables (with Eric Roberts).
Zayas is married to Liza Colón-Zayas, who also guest-starred on Law & Order and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
