David Scott Zifrin is an alleged double murderer and assailant framed by Detective Brian Torelli. Torelli would manipulate trials, including Zifrin's past false charges of sexual assault and harassment, which Zifrin was coached into reducing to sexual misconduct.
Torelli manipulated Zifrin into falsely confessing to boost his image, but Zifrin was found guilty at the trial. The real killer, James Lee Pawl, was found, as well as Torelli's trial tampering. Pawl and Torelli were imprisoned, with Zifrin being released with a slap on the wrist. (L&O: "Jurisdiction")
