Dede Hayes was a murder victim of Kenny Kyle.

Dede and Kenny shared a connection since they were very young. Dede also shared a connection with Kenny's younger sister, Emily. However, when Kenny became a suspect in the murder of Henry Cole, Dede became a focus in the investigation. Stabler and Whelan were almost certain that Dede was going to tip off Kenny so they tracked her phone.
Eventually, Dede called Kenny and arranged to meet with him. Later, when Kenny arrived at Dede's home, Dede and Kenny exchanged a few words before Dede went into the other room. While Dede was walking to the other room, Dede signalled for Teddy's two hitmen to come out and kill Kenny. Kenny ended up killing one and wounding the other. When Kenny found out about Dede's connection, Kenny strangled Dede to death. (OC: "Catch Me If You Can")
