Deidre Bathurst is a social worker from Adult Protective Services who was called by Stabler to get Jenny Rogers out of the custody of her son Kevin, a violent drug dealer and murderer who treated her like far less than a human being. He degraded her sense of worth, stole her painkillers to sell, bilked her of her finances, physically abused her, and didn't even provide her furniture and basic accommodations and necessities for health and hygiene.

Kevin was unphased and made Jenny stay and refuse a number to call on if she was in crisis. When Kevin was arrested on drug charges in a sting, Jenny was removed from the place and put into the care of APS. (SVU: "Blood")
