Dory (surname unknown) is the fiance of Ken Scofield, who was shot in his car while he was near having sex with Jill Templeton. Jill fled the scene and left horseback patrol to find Ken dead in his car because she was afraid.
Dory had Ken move with her to New York City from Amarillo, Texas, to get him in acting and modeling, against his mother's wishes. Ken was cheating on Dory with other women while she was waiting tables on double shifts. Dory was devastated but wanted Ken to stay with her, hoping they'd commit when they get married because they were still in love.
Suspecting a woman scorned was thrown out when detectives agreed the shooting was random. Serial killer Arthur Pruitt wouldn't be arrested for Scolfield's murder until 1999. (L&O: "Mayhem")
