Douglas Morgan is a member of the Gracenote cult and thus a victim of its founder, Randall Fuller. Under Fuller's imprinting, Doug stole from the bounties of his family of robbers, his father Mickey Connelly and Mickey's other son Jimmy. Doug was about to give up his full share when Jimmy froze the assets.
When Mickey demanded all the money back from Fuller, Fuller made Doug and another accomplice trap Mickey and Jimmy in a bathtub box to torture them both from starvation. When they both gave up the location of the rest of the money, Doug killed them both and made it look like a murder suicide.
When detectives found out about the Connelly's criminal past, they traced the money back to Gracenote. Douglas was isolated away from the rest of the cult to deprogram him and get him to confess. From this, Fuller was successfully arrested and imprisoned for grand larceny and murder facilitation.
Doug took a guilty plea for reduced murder and conspiracy charges, so he received leniency in his sentence for his cooperation. (CI: "Con-Text")
