Duke Baker is the father of Tommy Baker.
History[]
After Tommy was found unconscious in the back of a car, Duke immediately came to New York and met with Chrissy at the hospital. At one point, Duke became a suspect in Tommy's attack after Jax Bell told the detectives that Tommy might have been afraid of Duke. At the precinct, Duke was called in by Rollins and Duke told her that he was fully aware of Tommy's sexuality, having come to make amends with his son. He also states he has stage four cancer and that he doesn't have much longer to live, which immediately rules him out as a suspect.
It was eventually revealed that Tommy was assaulted by Ricky Nowak and Phil Diaz, who was Tommy's therapist and lover. After waking up from his coma, he and Chrissy watch Tommy coming out at his press conference, smiling at him for remaining strong. Tommy and Chrissy decided to move to Georgia to spend time with Duke before he dies. Eventually, Duke passed away as a result of the cancer. (SVU: "Tommy Baker's Hardest Fight")
